Magic Chopsticks for Sale

This is a drawing I did recently for a spanish book called "Se vedita la verita magica" written by  the talented author Isabel Deron. The story is about a girl who's mother suffers from the debilitating disease LUPUS. Although it's a serious subject matter, it's a magical and positive tale. The girl stumbles across an ad in the newspaper which leads her to a chinese restaurant where she's given some magic chopsticks and 2 wishes. The story raises awareness of the disease and can also be bought by LUPUS associations to raise money for their charities. Visit http://www.sweetylondon.com/ for more information about the book  www.lupus.org.uk/whatislupus/whatislupus.htm for more information about LUPUS.

Hibernate - Illustration Friday

Which summer cut-out are you going to be after a long winter hibernation? Are you going to indulge over Christmas and New Year and enjoy all those wintery goodies with glee, OR, are you going to be nice, and in control, and say a sweet little 'No thank-you' every time you are offered an itty bitty morsel? I can tell you now which one I am going to be - Cheers!

Mesmerised - Illustration Friday

This is my entry for this weeks Illustration Friday topic "Mesmerised". It's a drawing I did a while back for a children's book (written by a very talented Spanish author Isabel De Ron) about a girl who is in search of the last number before infinity. This is her lightbulb moment where she thinks she has found the answer. I thought it suited the IF topic as she looks a little mesmerised.

Bicycle

I miss zipping through the streets of London on my bicycle. There was nothing like getting from A to B in no time at all, keeping fit without really feeling as though you are exercising and arriving home at the end of the day knowing that you didn't waste half your time queing in traffic. Loved it!
